There is a steady rhythm that defines Village Farms. It is a rhythm built on intention, structure, and the kind of care that is rare in most farms across the region. Village Farms is not the kind of farm where animals simply pass through. It is a place where every cattle, goat, and ram is reared through a thoughtful animal husbandry practice that reflects pride in our work and respect for the land.

At Village Farms, every step of our animal husbandry is intentional, structured, and designed for quality. From the moment new animals are born or arrive on the farm, they are taken into the quarantine unit where their health is observed before they join the main herd. Sick animals are also separated and treated in a controlled space, showing our dedication to proper welfare and responsible farm practice.

We grow the forage materials used for our silage production. Our silage is produced from a rich mixture of brewery waste, shredded elephant grass, napier grass, sorghum plant, maize plant, and natural additives including agunmaniye and moringa leaf. This provides all our livestock with nutrient balanced feed suited for healthy growth and efficient performance. Weekly veterinary visits and monthly body weight checks help us monitor their progress, ensuring they grow naturally without artificial fattening.

Our farm structures are designed with purpose and attention. Goats and rams stay in custom bamboo pens that we cut, treat, and prepare on the farm for strength and durability, while cattle are kept in intensive units built with strong galvanized pipes and concrete. Every routine from cleaning and weighing to feeding and access to clean drinking water is arranged with order and care, creating a healthy and stress free environment.

Within our farming network, we support our farmers with knowledge and training that help them improve animal care and farm management, ensuring quality is maintained from sourcing to final sales.

Village Farms is not only about raising livestock. It is about setting a clear standard in animal husbandry, farm operations, and steady delivery of high quality produce. Every animal we rear represents this commitment and gives our customers confidence in the journey from farm to plate.
