Known as Ayamase sauce or designer stew, our Ofada Rice Sauce is a spicy, peppery base, guaranteed to deliver maximum flavour. This serving contains 1 Plate of this potent sauce.
The sauce is meticulously crafted by bleaching palm oil and cooking down red peppers and chillies with the potent flavour of Iru (locust beans). The sauce is generously packed with boiled eggs, crayfish, stockfish, assorted offals, tender ponmo, and succulent snails, which infuse it with deep, complex richness. The final product is a vibrant brown-red colour. It is exceptionally nourishing due to its dense protein content. It supplies essential protein, minerals, and vitamins which combat free radicals, boost the immune system, and aid in the maintenance of healthy tissues.
The flavour is intense, umami-rich, and unforgettable, providing a powerful kick that is beautifully balanced by the underlying richness of the bleached palm oil and the deep notes of Iru.
This rich sauce is best paired with the traditional Ofada Rice, Steamed White Rice, Boiled Yam, or Fried Plantain.
